I made this quilt in 2006. I had bought the material to make 2 quilts for my best friend - soul sister - for her daughters - then in January got the call that Lori had gone to live with the angels - her battle with heart disease had been lost. I went into my sewing room and stayed basically in there for 8 months - I made this quilt and a basket quilt - the flowers on both quilts are 3 dimensional - I quilted them both myself - many many tears fell on both these quilts - I forgot to take pictures of the finished quilts but here it is before I quilted it - the quilts reside in NY with my girls...
