Wings and Beer Quilt

This is my "monstrosity"...it measures 110" x 120" and took me most of the summer and part of September to hand quilt. I did outline quilting around the pattern to highlight it. Its called Wings and Beer because I let my partner pick the colors and he said he went with colors that reminded him of wings and beer! LoL

Pamela,

This started out as a "True Lovers Knot" or Celtic knot, but I didn't like the repetitiveness for the size of quilt I wanted so I only used it in the corners and then went to work on some graph paper and created the center and side blocks. So it's part Knot and imagination. :)

You are something else, girl.   Been wondering myself where the "wings and beer" came into it!

I just can't imagine hand quilting it--even if you say you just outlined everything!
