Worked from an old family photo. Originally in black and white. I did in sepia tones with with a flash of red for the bow on the dress.
It's almost finished. Just trying to decide how to quilt the large pavement space. Any ideas?
That is beautiful!
Wonderful job! how about cobblestones?
I was going to suggest cobblestones too but also brick, like used brick.
Also you could quilt the road to look like crushed rock giving it texture but use a slightly darker color. You don't' want to take attention away from the people.
Beautiful job!
Awesome! How did you convert the photo to a quilt pattern?
As alwasy, I am in awe of your work!
Wow! I'm amazed and speechless your quilting ability is a gift!
Stunning! It looks so like a photograph of the 1930's.
Awesome is the right word....
this is truly beautiful . You have made it look so real . Fantastic job.
I love your quilt. It tells it's own story when you look at it..great job!!!
Did you take the old photo and photo shop it to Sepia and then what? Did you take it to a copy shop or printer and have it blown up?
I just love all of that you've done and would like to learn to do this. Have you taken a class somewhere or are you one of those incredably talented people that just does these things with no help?
I bring up the photo on Paintbrush programme on the computer. I can enlarge it there. Then I trace it onto paper.
The original photo was black and white. I chose to do it in sepia colour.
wow, speechless and in awe!!
