The baby quilt was made to honor the mother's Hawaiin heritage.  I found the patterns for the appliques online, sized, cut, and machine appliqued them on.  Baby's name and date of birth were hand stitched on the heading of the quilt.

I love the quilt. My new grandbaby (1 week old, my 1st and will be my only) would love it I'm sure. Or Daddy would with the turtles (his father passed this past January) and loved turtles. So Daddy does turtles to honor him. Where did you find the turtle applique? I would love to use that one for sure. Again, it's a great inspration for baby's quiilt.
