Convergence quilt gone wrong

I loved the book Ricky Timms put out 6+ years ago on Convergence quilts.  He explained the technique in detail.  I was in too much of a hurry

and cut some of my strips wrong.  I put it together anyway and this is how it turned out.  I machine quilted some curvy wave lines and I find it quite

striking hanging on my wall.

It is striking. What lovely fabric combinations.

I love it!  It would be georgous as a full size quilt.  It reminds me of the Bargello quilts with strips cut in different widths.  I can't see what possibly could have gone wrong.  Brilliant quilt.
