Hi, There

I am Sj and I am new on here as of today, so much to see I just seen your quilt says it's a friendship braid? Is there any place on here where I might be able to buy the pattern. I am trying to get a couple quilts made for Christmas gifts for my grandchildren I know they would love  this pattern. I know I just love this quilters club.

Have nice evening, and thanks for your time.

Sj

Hi, Sj!

I don't think that you'll need a pattern, it is not very difficult to cut the pieces. I found a video on YouTube and I hope one's allowed to post a link:

I used another kind of ruler, not the binding tool they use in the video. It's an "Omigrid Triangle", which helps to make all pieces the same length. If you don't have anything like this, you can cut a paper template first.

To add some contrast I've started by making two piles of strips, lighter ones and darker ones. One braid is made by the lighter one on the right side and the darker ones on the left side.

Sewing the braids is very easy. You start with on piece (for example the orange-brown one you can see at the top in the middle of the picture) and then you add the white one with dots. The third one (second seam) is the red one - and so on.

Have fun!

Hi, Sj!

As you've asked for a pattern, have a look at this:

Have a nice evening,
