How fun and festive. I would have kept it too.

It's not paper pieced.  You take 10 stacks of red, green and light, cut them, shuffle the order of the colors for each piece of the background and sew them together again.  Then trim them all to the same size.  There's lots of odd edges to trim off because of the angles and no seam allowances when cut.  It's an easy pattern and is very forgiving.

I like it!

You said "Lights on!"  Is this one of those quilts that lights up?

No special effects.  That's the name of the pattern - 'Trees up! Lights on!'

Soo pretty, where I can find the pattern...I like to do one for me and another as gift!

I bought the pattern several years ago from a local quilt shop.  It's avaliable from the Pieces from my Heart website, but I think you should be able to find it at a local quilt shop.

The pattern name is 'Tree's Up!  Lights On"
