Quilt for Grandma Soeder - My First Quilt

Grandma Soeder (my husband's grandmother) wasn't doing well, so I wanted to do something special. She lived in Cocoa Beach, FL with her daughter, Rosa.  Don't know what possessed me to make a quilt. I had never made one before and the dresden plate looked hard but I loved the pattern. Most of it is hand pieced and hand quilted. I always watched Georgia Bonesteel on PBS so I figured it was about time I venture on my own. I had ordered a templete kit from Georgia Bonesteel. You see the result here. I never thought I's see the photo again. I still have those templetes today.

It is made from 100% cotton, hand stitched and quilted.
