This quilt has taken me about 18 months to make after the idea swished around in my head for a few years. The window is digitized, appliqued and embroidered. Around that is my rendition of the street scene of the Via Dolorosa in the  form of quilt lines. on either side I quilted palm leaves from palms in my yard as patterns. I absolutely loved making this quilt.

Oh, Jeanette, we simply must see some close up pictures of this!  I can't zoom in on the "window" panes.

WOW, this is stunning,  it was fun to watch you progress through this quilt and the finished quilt is amazing.

Thank you all. I will post a few details of the quilt for MNnancy.

These will show the street scene of the Via Dolorosa (one of the stations of the cross still in existence in Jerusalem) and the palm leaves that hang over the edge of the quilt. I will also show the jellicle moon that is in the left corner (outside the picture) of the quilt.

As you have posted pictures of the blocks, I have been just amazed!  This is incredible!  Congrats on a job well done.

I knew this was gonna be awesome when you were posting picts of the window sections... Seeing it here blows my mind! Your quilting brings so much more to what was already a fantastic piece. I wish I could see it in person. GREAT JOB!!!!!
