Used Uneven Star by Virginia Walton's pattern in Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting - May/June 2009 edition. It was only 52" x 60" and I needed it to fit a King size bed! I did several modifications in order for it to get the finished size of 120" x 124". I also changed from 'too many to count' 4 1/2" squares for the background to strips to make the stars stagger across the quilt. I used various scraps to make the stars in their blue/brown color scheme & 6 different cream fabrics for the background.
I also put a strip of stars across the back so that they have the option to reverse the quilt too.
It was great to see their faces light up when they received this present!
