My latest "quilt project", painted on exterior plywood to add fun colors to our back yard patio area.
Awesome!!
Quilt blocks...my sister and I went today and got the wood to make our own quilt blocks to join the Tangipahoa Parish Quilt Block Trail. The block I chose is one my Grandma's quilt blocks she made many years ago in red, white and blue. It is very similar to the Minnesota Star except it has a defined star in the middle. Quilt Blocks are fun to look for.
I love this idea. I saw one in our downtown square, for the first time, yesterday. It is just down the sidewalk from our LQS. I definately want to make one of these. Thanks for the idea.
great idea. They look great
I love this and was just thinking about trying something like this for by my side door. Hope mine turn out as well as yours!
What a great way to break up a large plain exterior wall! Do these blocks have a special meaning to you, or did you just like the way they looked?
fantastic! love the colors
Thanks for sharing. Now I want to do a Sunbonnet Sue Barn quilt.
Thank you everyone for your positive responses. I chose Minnesota Star because of where we live and Windblown because it's always so windy in our area. My husband chose the colors, and helped with the construction as well. My daughter has requested one for her garage and am working on a smaller one for my husbands garden barn.
what a great idea. i love barn blocks and the graphic colors you've chosen for them.
