Aurora Borealis Bargello

This is my version of the Aurora Borealis pattern from the book Twist and Turn Bargello. I scaled the pattern up to use 2" strips instead of the 1.5" strips specified in the book. The quilt finishes at 61" x 88". This is the fourth bargello I have completed, and the most challenging one yet. It was as much a color study as it was a bargello. I quilted it myself on my domestic sewing machine with a walking foot.

This is a repost from the Bargello group so I can add it to My Gallery.

Wow, lovely!  I didn't realize the bargello group had gotten this far along.  I'll have to stop in to ogle.

Very pretty but it looks like a lot  of work.  Must have been extremely time consuming.  You did a beautiful job.
