My sister in law's 15 year old dog died earlier this week. That dog was Irene's life and she is devastated. I found an applique pattern for a Dachshund and made this small lap quilt for her. I'll put it in the mail on Monday.

The green looks puky in this picture. It's actually a really pretty soft print.

Judy,

Really nice quilt!  She will cry when she sees it, but she will love it!

Judy, you come up with the cutest quilt designs!  Can't wait to see what you bring to Leavenworth this year!

Very sweet.  Having lost my 13yo Pom mix in May, I understand about the devastation.  We bring these little critters into our lives and dote on them.  They are so precious and deserve every bit of love we give them.  Unfortunately, it's a hard bargain we make, knowing that we will eventually lose them.  I don't care who you are, no one loves you like your dog.

Very cute quilt Judy.  My best wishes to your SIL, I am sure she will cherish this quilt.  It is so hard to lose a beloved pet...

What a touching quilt. I had a dog for 18 years, he was my baby. I know what your sister-in-law is going through and yes, when she see's your great quilt for her, she will cry, but it will be tears of joy and good memories.
