Me and my sister designs fabrics
This is what I'm working on now.
A while back I purchased a Moda scrap bag that contained green, orange, teal and yellow strips of fabric from a line called "Twirl" from Me and My Sister Designs. ( I love scraps!) Now the fabric from Me and My Sister Designs is very pretty, but not within my comfort zone. I'm much more of a Civil War Reproduction type person. I absolutely love any Kansas Troubles Quilters fabric from Moda.
Despite being out of my comfort zone, I've been purchasing a few pieces of My and My Sister Designs fabric here and there from many of their different lines. And I purchased a charm pack "Amelia" and thought perhaps I can add it to the mix. As well as some blenders that I thought would fit in nicely. I did find a beautiful bright pink print from Riley Blake Designs too.
In my stash, I had a pattern that uses charm squares and 1&1/2" strips designed by My and My Sister Designs.
So I decided to get to work and start using everything that I have collected thus far. I have no idea of what I will do with the finished product but what fun I will have creating it. :-)
Cute fabrics and have fun. Can't wait to see what you end up creating!
it is going to be a fun quilt, be sure and post it when you are finished
Love your fabric.
I tend towards earth tones, too, but I haven't been able to resist the bright colors of today's fabrics. This will be very pretty!
very cute and whimsical. be sure to post a picture when you get it together
I love this fabric and have several pieces. Like you I'm not sure what I'll do with it as I'm also more into the Civil War/Country type colors. I may make a small lap quilt for our local cancer infusion center who is always looking for more lap quilts for patients. I think they'd like the bright cheery colors. The colors would also work well for a Quilts for Kids project.
