A 2012 Harry Potter paper piecing quilt
I finished the Harry Potter quilt. I'm going to take it to our community clubhouse, which is pet hair free, to lay it out on the table and de-hair it and be sure all threads are clipped and removed. Then I'll run a final iron over the border and seal it up until I deliver it to our county fair on August 6th. From there it will go to our guilds annual quilt show a few days after the fair ends. Old Harry will be traveling. My husband is getting freaky about it and worries it could be stolen. He's been fretting over this thing more than I have, reminding me to be sure it's sealed up each night so the cats don't get to it.
Get this, he even worried about the big lightning storm yesterday and told me to get it off the table near the window.
There are lots of things I'd do differently with the quilting. I got carried away. I did go back and remove some of the quilting in a few of the book spines but then just figured. Oh what the heck, I like it and it's staying as it is
UPDATE: This was a paper piecing project. I should have mentioned that. I joined the paper piecing group here on QCA hosted by Kris who supplied us with the link to fandomstitches.com. There are a huge variety of Harry Potter paper piecing block patterns.
