Bluebonnets

This is the Bluebonnets pattern by Carol Morrissey. Carol was our speaker at the April local Quild Guild Meeting. I was so inspired by her that I made this Bluebonnets quilt. You can't really tell from the picture but these bluebonnets are enormous. The body of the quilt is 36 x 46 and framed it finishes at 47 x 57. There is no paint on this quilt. All the color is intrinsic to the batik fabric. Looking at it brings a smile to my face. Bigger really is better!

Very, very pretty quilt.  The petals look so fragile.  I bet it looks great being that size.

You did a wonderful job on this appliqued quilt.  The shading in the batik fabrics is beautiful.
