This is a pattern that I used as a backing for a quilt I was working on.  It is called 'Josie's Star' and is featured in the Spring Issue of Fons & Porters Easy Quilts.

As I was piecing the first 2 blocks I thought that this was too pretty to be used as a backing so a new quilt was born.  I called it Topper for it is made from a Table Topper pattern.

I think it came out really nice and I have done a lot of quilting on it that is really not showing up.

I think you were right ... it is way too nice to be a back. I absolutely love it.

It is beautiful and far too nice to be the back.  You did a great job.  Very impressive.

I really like how the pinks, yellows and blues look with the back ground fabric; it looks really pretty.

Very pretty!  Glad you turned it into a quilt top.  Zoom in tight for another picture if you want to show us the quilting.

The only way I would use that as a back is if I truly wanted a reversible quilt so each side would get 'face time."  I think you made the right choice - this is stunning!

Excellent decision to turn it into it's own quilt.  It is worthy of being the FRONT!!!!
