This quilt I made for my youngest son for Christmas 2010. If you make for one you have to make for the other. I didn't have anywhere near as much trouble figuring this one out, but I was still way too intimidated to try anything other than tying. I do have to give much props to my husband for helping me tie both this quilt, the quilt for my other son and even the quilt I made him that year. LOL

Very nice. Nothing wrong with tied quilts, but let's talk. If you post somewhere, anywhere, asking how to get started hand quilting, lots of nice ladies and at least one old geezer will be happy to help you get started. It's not hard, or intimidating, unless you think you have to get amish-lady results the first time. I never will, by design, and just live with it.

I have since moved on to try some machine quilting. I don't know if I have the patience for hand quilting. lol

This is a very nice quilt.  Just get into quilting, whether it is hand quilting or machine quilting.   There are so many great people on here that will give you good advice should you need it.
