I wanted to make some thing extra special for my nephew for Christmas. I cut out two pieces of fabric, right sides facing each other, plus a piece of batting, and two pieces solid red fabric for the backing. Each piece is hand quilted. I then sandwiched the stocking right sides facing, pinned red bias tape around the edges and machine sewed the edges,1/4" seem. Turned and pushed the foot out.
