Would love some input as to whether I should color these squares or leave them au naturel'!  Any thoughts?  I have discovered I can draw these and quilt them rather quickly and they are a lot of fun to do!  I am making a wedding quilt for a dear niece and I'm leaning towards the natural look over color.  She's an artist herself and am thinking she might like color tho too!  Not sure what to do!

I'd leave them as is , gives the quilt that antique look , beautiful quilting.

so, you draw this out first and then follow the lines with your quilting?   this is wonderful

This is stunning.  I would leave them as they are so the quilting really stands out.   Wonderful job.

I love the natural.  Especially for a wedding gift.  Nice work!!

I may be prejudiced because I am a big fan of color. If the gift is for an artist I would add selected patches of color. Maybe the flowers, but not the feather which looks stunning au naturel. Perhaps soft pastels since it is a wedding gift. Color in just a few pebbles, to make all the rest of the pebbles pop. Every other grid in just a slightly darker shade of the background to give a cross hatch effect. Subtle color can be a beautiful enhancer. What a lovely thoughtful gift this will be.

I love this piece so much I just keep coming back to look at it again. You are the first ever to go in my favorites file. Bravo.

Thank you so much for the responses everyone!  I appreciate it so much!  I've decided it will be all natural with every block depicting a different design!  I purchased high grade muslin today and can't wait to really move along!  If you're interested, I'll post pics as a work in progress!
