This is part of a group exhibition the Miami Valley Art Quilt Network put together called Dayton Landmarks. Each quilt grouping featured a different landmark building in Dayton Ohio.
My quilt is the third from the left. Mendelson's is a great place to hunt for odd treasures - a legendary downtown warehouse crammed with old electronics, industrial equipment store fixtures and other curiosities...a great place to shop for hard-to-find items and closeouts. I bought most of the fabric for my quilt at Mendelsons - bell bottom pants, work shirts and corduroy jackets.
This was a thoroughly fun creative challenge!
