Pinwheels compromise the middle panel, then quilt stitched the base color using a slight wave to give them motion. I added applique butterflies and made flowers using buttons for the middle to add depth.
The idea quilt was started from pattern "Summer at Mom's" from McCall's Quilting.
For some reason one of kitties loved 'helping' make this quilt. Every time I had it out he was right in the middle of it. I even have a picture of him sitting on it while I was trying to do some of the top stitching.
