I decided I deserved a new purse, so I made one.  The pattern is "The Cross Town Carry Maggie's Bag" by Marlous Designs.  I quilted the batik to Soft and Stable with metallic gold for the shell and used a cotton with a knit fusible interfacing for the lining.  The button is vintage - off an old coat of my mom's from over 30 years ago.  The only change I made to the pattern is that I put pockets on both sides instead of one, and I also added a tiny pocket for my scan card for the electric locks at work.  I can't wait to try it out!

Very nice.  I like how the blue pops against the darker fabric.
