The chickens were appliquéd from one piece of muslin with beaks, combs, wattles and feet added. Finding buttons for the eyes was a fun time in the button box.

The pattern was published in the Quilter Newsletter, Sept. 1982. It was designed by Faye Anderson and Hank Parker and published by Leman Publishers also 1982. The pattern has been unavailable since the 90's.

I love this one. I tried to find it for over a year with no success. I wanted to make a wall hangining for my kitchen. Where did you find your pattern?

LOVE the chickens. My daughter would love the chickens. You did a great job.

What a fun quilt!  Have you had this pattern since 1982?

Really fun quilt.  Too bad the pattern is no longer available.
