Project started as a block exchange from "Quilt Camp" in Washburn, IL during a very cold January weekend in 2011.  Exchange was of modified Jacobs ladders blocks (only based on a 4 patch) using black on white & white on black fabrics.  Originally got about 22 8.5" blocks.  It gradually "grew" until the final size of 80x80.  Found a great green & black batik which then got me thinking about layouts. Working at the Quilting Retreat Center in Danville, IL over St Patricks Day weekend, I got wonderful input from other quilters that resulted in the interesting border concept where the blocks undulate up into the border.  There's no name for the pattern.  I just started with B&W & B&W&G blocks on a design wall.  The green centers remind me of spider mums.
