I started with the orange cat but the colors didn't look right after I made the sampler blocks.  So I did a yellow cat to go with the blocks and made new blocks to match this cat.

So this cat is pieced not appliqued???

No, the cat was not appliqued, it was foundation pieced.  The pattern is by Maureen Sparrow on the Paper Panache website under "free guest pats".  I changed it a little bit by adding 1/2 inch of background on the ear side and curving the back of the cat a little bit lower.
