Octagon flowers were pieced by hand to blocks, which were then sewn on the machine. I used CW reproduction printed fabrics for this fun little quilt. The pattern came from the book, The Civil War Sewing Circle by Kathleen Tracy.

Sew cute, Melody! Those little hexagons are a favorite of mine since my DGM made her quilts that way.

This is a great one. I love your fabric choices. I have that book and just love all the quilts in it. I need to get another few made but there just isn't enough time in the days right now.

Melody and All,

I just posted pictures in my Gallery of a Sweet Sweet find at a quilt show.  I only paid $15.00 for this wonderful surprise.  Notice all the hexies are "fussy cut"  It is in my work basket by my easy chair upstairs.  Must purchase a floor "0tt Lamp" before I go blind.  OMy all those tiny stitches but I didn't have to cut them out.  Hello "Table Topper"
