My children chose the fabrics and designed the quilt for thier new sibling. All I had to do was sew it all together! We had some trouble with the background, since the original plan was to use plain white, but that looked flat. The random pocka-dot print worked much better. I love the stripe-y binding that DD insisted I use! The backin is flannel, so it'll be extra cozy for the baby. I learned long ago to make baby quilts extra big so they can use them as they get older. By the time they start pre-school and want a snuggle blanket, it's all broken in and familure!

CC this quilt is perfect.  Great fabric choices and design by the sibs and wonderful piecing and quilting by Mom.  A quilt to be cherished for many years.

It turned out great!  Wonderful colors and I love the striped binding.  That's a good tip about making baby quilts larger than normal.

CC I love everything about this quilt from the designing to the finish.  Sprout is a lucky baby to have such a loving and close knit family.  Can't wait to see Sprout wrapped up in it.  God Bless you and your family.

This family effort is outstanding.  You were so right to use the polka dots as the background for your star.  Love the colorful star and your dinosaur border!

CC - I love Sprout's Star - so bright and pretty - you did an outstanding job!  I love the dinosaur border - so so sweet!  You should be so proud of yourself - but no breaking arms patting yourself on the back.

God bless,

Thea

CC - the kids did a great job with the fabric selection and you did a wonderful job with the star and the quilting.  You all should feel very proud.  So nice to have it done and waiting for the little bundle who will grace it.  Yep, Sprout's name will hang on for a long time - my youngest GD was called Buckwheat before she was born - they then called her Bucky for quite a few years - she will be 21 next month and one of her uncles still call her Bucky!  Enjoy these days, CC - they grow so fast.  Marge P
