I get bored quickly making the same block over and over, so I finally tackled a Sampler Quilt.  I used up some fabrics I had lying around from other projects, the only fabric I purchased specifically for this project is the blue printed sashing from Hobby Lobby (on sale) and the backing fabric which is white muslin.

This one was not quite wide enough to cover a twin bed, it does but looks a little skimpy.  So I use it as a "scarf" on the bottom of my King size bed.  Used a cotton batting for a thinner, summer weight.

stunning I guess you cut material for each block separately rather than cut for whole quilt then assemble is that what you did?

YES, Is2116...

I worked on 2 or 3 blocks at a time, at first just wanting to try a new block pattern out.  After having 6 or 8 large blocks completed I laid them out and they looked pretty good together.  So I picked another color or two from my scrap stash to help tie all the colors together, then and added more blocks until it was the size I thought I wanted.

I could've went bigger but only had a limited amount of the sashing material.

I definately had no "PLAN" in mind at all when I started playing with these blocks.
