This quilt was made in 2010 for a challenge at the Michigan Quilt Network show. I used it as an opportunity to be creative and work with beads. There are lots & lots of beads attached by hand to the quilt top, after quilting on my domestic machine. The challenge required the use of mostly white fabrics, which I took from my stash. I love daisies and immediately thought of making them the focal point of the quilt. Now that Spring is in the air, I decided to share with all of you and bring it out of storage to brighten my front room.

Really nice...is it hand applique?

The daisy was a raw edge machine applique. The quilting was free motion on my domestic machine. I used a bead in the center of every daisy I quilted.

Thanks for all your comments.

Very pretty. I did my autumn sunflowers in raw edge applique too. It was pretty cool. I had never done that technique before, but the end result is pretty. You did a great job.

Stunning.  The simplicity of design makes it pop even more.  Fantastic job.
