My mother wanted a "curtain" for the glass oval in her front door. I was doing some applique and had just done the yellow rose. I found all different scraps of yellow in my stash and made 5 yellow rose blocks. I added green and yellow nine patch blocks to fill in. It was hand quilted and hangs on a small dowel on her front door. I also added appliqued butterflys for a touch of color. One of my favorite pieces.
