Michelles Chemo Quilt in progress.
This quilt was self designed using one simple block and some wonderful batik fabrics.
beautiful quilt. Love the batiks.
Love the colors!
this is beautiful. i would stipple it that will soften the lines. if you haven't done much quilting, stippling is easier, you don't ahve to worry about keeping a straight line. which ever quilting design you pick, this is a beautiful quilt.
I love the fabrics Liz. That looks like some "fairy frost" in there too.
Very pretty and I can tell you from experience how comforting a chemo quilt can be.
This is going to be so lovely.
you've made some fun quilts, thanks for sharing
Thanks for all the great confidence boosters!!
I have another question. I got the quilt top all pieced and when attaching the borders I think I may have cut the long side borders bias cut instead of with the grain.....please tell me will this ruin my quilt????? Any quick fixes???
Love your quilt. I made my daughter a quilt when she was going through Chemo for ALL. Luckily she went in remission in December. She lives in another state and I made the quilt with fabrics that represents those who loved and supported her. Your quilt is beautiful and I am sure will provide comfort.
Liz, I am surely no expert, but I don't think it will ruin your quilt, you just need to be careful not to stretch your fabric. Perhaps some more experienced quilts have more ideas. Good luck.
Love the colors and the design!
