My dad is a vietnam war vet - I made this for him.  The blue border fabric has a map motif to it, which fit perfectly as he often talks about all the travels he did while he was a Marine. The yellow chevrons represent his rank.  The corner pieces of the center medallion are fussy cut to show the Marines.  The center star was a fun challenge since I was making my own pattern.  I am forever grateful for his service and for his love.

My son is in the Air Force.  Thank your Dad for his service for me.

Great quilt.  My husband is VietNam veteran, too.
