Very pretty quilt. Such a great remembrance quilt.
Suzy, I am so impressed. What a wonderful quilt to make to be passed down through the family. I hope you will be putting a detailed label on the back similar with the story.
To Judy.....I always do a label with my photo n email since I still have not found the time to set up a website yet...also plan to put his story on the postcard in the quilt center left by printing on fabric and then stitching on...thanks for the input and compliment...it has been a labor of love...that I will do 3x!
What a great idea and a lovely quilt.
What an excellent commemoration to your family's history. This is what quiliting is all about....an historical art form that generations to come will learn from. Job well done Suzyhomemaker!

Thank you everyone for such supportive comments...recently permanently disabled from 5 spine surgeries/fusions, fibro and diabetes....so I really do live to quilt and quilt to live and started out making this wall quilt to honor my husband of 30+ years who has been there for me and allows me to quilt as he works and then comes home to do dishes, laundry and helps me with meal prep, but has also become a project to do for each child to cherish in the years to come. So it is a labor of love in more ways than one! I will definately post a finished picture of it...with my signature 4" hand strung bead fringe...just ordered statue of liberty charms and passport charms to put on fringe!
Well done, Suzy Homemaker! This quilt has substance and emotional depth.
