Very pretty quilts.  This is a great pattern.  Where is it from?  Your own idea???

Hi Marge,

The pattern is called Window Boxes and it came from the book Strip Therapy 6 by Brenda Henning.  The original pattern was for the flowers to be fusible web applique, but I changed it a little.  I did needle turn applique instead and decided to trapunto the flowers to make them pop more.  I also changed the pattern a little for the lighter one.  After I spent about 40 hours sewing the flowers on it, my daughter confessed that the pattern was too disorganized for her.  So rather than piecing the strip sets in a random way, I organized them into more of a pattern.  The look changed dramatically from the brighter one I did.  They turned out to be very unique and fit my two girls personalities perfectly!
