When I saw this pattern it was done in all florals and I saw it right away as a patrioitc quilt, my son-in-law loves eagles and it was his birthday coming up so decided to make a throw for him to use while watching his favorite sports shows. I found a nice soft flannel blue star fabric for the backing.

Other then the center panel of the eagle, the balance of the quilt was made from my daughter and my scrap bins. I always love it when I can find a use for my scraps.

I had to adjust the pattern as their panel was smaller in size, but was pleased with the way it turned out.

I recently purchased a long arm so have been trying to get some practice in,  quilted with a puzzle piece with stars.

Wonderful quilt! I'm a big fan of my country, the flag, and the beautiful eagles, they are all wonderful. That's  what your quilt says to me. Your son-in-law is lucky to be part of your family.
