It is light-weight but very stable, even on carpet, and I can move it around (even turn it upside-down) by myself. LOL!
Hi Barb, Don't you just love the Big Board? I bought the pattern & my Dad made it for me. Mine is placed, like yours, close to my sewing machine, but I put mine on two metal file cabinets, one on each end. This provides me with extra storage & has a good space for my legs. I use an office chair,& can just spin around between the two spots. The cabinets have one small drawer & two reg. drawers. This puts my board top at 27 1/4". Very stable & HANDY. LOVE IT!
