I made this queen-sized Quilt of Valor for my husband who is a VietNam veteran.  I quilted it on my mid-arm with just a swirl and star all over pattern.

No pattern, it's just a patriotic panel and lots of borders.

Beautiful.  What are the star blocks called?  I have seen these before in quilts but don't know what they are.

Beautiful, Karla.  I want to make one for our son, who is no longer in the military, but is a helicopter Captain who flies soldiers, supplies, ammo--whatever needs to be moved from place to place.

Great quilt!  I have made a few Quilts of Valor for donation to the Quilts of Valor Foundation.  Now I have some inspiration for more.  Thanks. And thanks to your own personal veteran too - glad he came home.
