A year ago I happened upon a bargain sale of a Jelly Roll and Honey Bun of Moda's Oh Cherry Oh. Since then I've been perusing magazines and pattern books searching for the right idea to use my fabric to make a quilt. After buying a triangular ruler I decided on this pattern. I sewed together the precut strips to make strips measuring 4.5 inches and then cut them into triangles. These were sewed into squares and then rows and columns. I had five strips with white backgrounds left over and wanted to use all of the fabric, leaving no leftovers, so I dug into my stash looking for some solid reds and created a checkered border to complete the edges. My finished quilt measures 59X72.
It's such a bright, happy quilt. What bed wouldn't look fabulous under it.
