Scrappy quilt with a "silkie" blanket binding for my son and dil for Christmas.  My son has always loved the "silkie" bindings on his blankets and quilts.  As a small child he would rub the silkie to go to sleep.   This pattern was my own design.

Nana, this is amazing. How many fabrics are in this?

Sukochi  I really don't know how many different fabrics were used.  It just all came from my scrap bin.

Nana, this turned out so well.  My quilting group is making one, but some how one of the cuts got left out. So not quite so many pieces.

I can't imagine how much time this had to take for you to create. It is really stunning with all of the small pieces! Great job!!

This quilt is beautiful Nana and the "silkie" border really sets it off.  Good job my friend!
