If you have been following my blog or if you haven't been following, here's the result of the Precious RWYS Project -  Part 1.

The pillows are muslin and 100% cotton floral prints. The original quilter had the 18" squares hand quilted except for the borders, which I completed. I think she might have been starting a quilt as you go quilt, but I'm not sure. I do not know the names of the patterns of the squares. (I have 16 squares total, each with a different pattern.) Barb (our parish nurse) and I thought it would be nice to return the pillows to the original quilter who now has alzheimers. We thought it might be something she could hold onto and hug. This woman was very active in our church and always had a smile for everyone. A lot of love went into the pillows for this special lady. And I got them done just in time for Christmas.

I begin Part 2 - a wall hanging.

What a beautiful and thoughtful idea, giving them back to her.

Merry Christmas!
