After my mom died, we found this top in a pile of stuff. My mom didn't quilt and the material is 30's; AND there was some 'strange' cheesecloth in place of muslin in some places. This would be much more like my Aunt Edna or my Grandmother (Aunt Edna once put cooked macaroni into a place in a pie shell when it pulled apart).  This was professionally quilted by Sue of Elegantt Quilts. The label on the back is a picture of the quilt and part of the information I shared here.  I bound it in 30's reproduction material (yards of binding, I might add!)

It's absolutely gorgeous and definitely an heirloom to keep as pass on, no matter who made it originally.

Really beautiful and a wonderful heirloom. I have a wedding ring quilt made all by hand by a German lady in 1965 who couldn't speak a word of English. I was so facinated while watching her work and decided then I would one day be a quilter. 40 years later my quilting life began and I often still think of the lady I watched work by hand while I have nice machines and frame.

Beautiful keepsake.  By the way - I love your little funky, purple bird that I spotted when I blew the picture up.  :o)

I love the quilt. How lucky it was found and cherished. I would have been a shame for it to disappear. Fabulous job
