Awesome wallhanging. Great job.
Very nice. I really like how you did your reindeer and those trees!
I knew this was gonna be great when you posted your deisgn sketch! Love it. That ribbon border is just perfect, and the fur on the neck is a wonderful touch!
It is a great ouilt. It looks hard, but a lot of fun to make.
Thanks everyone for your comments. Mincemeat, it wasn't hard at all. I found a photo of a reindeer on the internet, enlarged it and printed it out on Photoshop. Then I traced it onto freezer paper using a lightbox. Cut it out and ironed it onto brown flannel and used the paper as a guide to cut it out. I peeled the paper off and did the edges of the flannel with fray-check. Spray-basted it with 505 and sewed it down as raw edge applique. Trees were cut out free-hand and then painted and appliqued down. Chenille was about 5 strips of 1/2 inch wide tan bias, folded in half and sewed down the fold, 1/8 inch apart from each other.
