Hand dyed, hand painted and commercial printed fabric. 28 X 28 inches. Quilted with white polyester embroidery thread and Sulky Sliver Metallic. Reindeer is flannel with faux chenille mane and fetlocks and trapunto padding.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Mincemeat, it wasn't hard at all. I found a photo of a reindeer on the internet, enlarged it and printed it out on Photoshop. Then I traced it onto freezer paper using a lightbox. Cut it out and ironed it onto brown flannel and used the paper as a guide to cut it out. I peeled the paper off and did the edges of the flannel with fray-check. Spray-basted it with 505 and sewed it down as raw edge applique. Trees were cut out free-hand and then painted and appliqued down. Chenille was about 5 strips of 1/2 inch wide tan bias, folded in half and sewed down the fold, 1/8 inch apart from each other.
