Recycled linens for the cottage look

While organizing our old, falling down log cottage I found a pile of sheets and pillow cases that were left over from long, long ago.  They were faded and worn but still had a useful purpose, too good to be thrown out.  After much thought I struck on the idea of making them into crocheted rag rugs for the bedroom.  I've cut them down to 1 inch strips, sewn them end to end and then crocheted them into a rug.  The dogs love to sleep on them and they also feel so nice to put my feet on them first thing in the morning.
