Reindeer Leaping Photoshop design sketch

My daughter liked the "Crystal Sunset" quilt, which is going to a craft show, so I decided to design a Christmas quilt for her that was similar.  The sky and snow on this quilt will both be hand-dyed wholecloth and the "rainbow" effect border can use the strip set leftover from Crystal Sunset.  I hope I can find commercial fabric with realistic printed fir or pine trees in the snow.  I think the reindeer can be cut from one piece of shaded brown fabric with some painted highlights and maybe thread-painted details, but if I can find some beige velvet I might try dying that in an ombre effect.

So it will be fast and done on time.  Right?

so, this is not the quilt?   it's a drawing you've done of a quilt you are going to make?    it's a fun theme.   little sparkles coming off his hooves would be cool

Gini, this is not the quilt.  I always do a design sketch on photoshop to test layout, proportion and scale.  On photoshop I can set it up so each item is on a transparent layer and I can flip back and forth to audition different ideas.  If I have fabric already I can scan the fabric and include that in the sketch, but I don't have my fabrics yet for this.  I'm going to check out fabric at two quilt stores today, and two fabric stores tomorrow.

Well if you can find the fabrics you mentioned, this should turn into a very attractive wall hanging for your daughter.
