My sister, Sharon Kaye McDaniels hand made this sampler in Brazilian Embroidery. She passed away from Breast Cancer May 31, 2005. My MOther, Betty Phillips has this hanging in her Bedroom.

Braz. Emd. is more of a raised embroidery but not unlike dimensional embroidery. It uses rayon and special threads. The needle is wrapped as many as 60 times or more for some of the flowers and then dropped back thru the fab. to make the beautiful flower. It is a beautiful technique.
