Brazilian Embroidery Blocks

These blocks need placement into a quilt. Any suggestions? The white background is large and probably needs to be cut into a smaller block. I am unsure if I should add lace, what size they should be cut down to, What fabric to place them with, etc. Should the nine blocks be made into a wall hanging, or could I somehow make them into a full size quilt? A crazy quilt??

The embroidery is beautiful.  I will think awhile on placement.

they would make a great crazy quilt.  you could use the fabric they are on as the foundation.

what do you want.  the embroideries are so beautiful by them selves.  they would make a wonderful wall hanging.

i would cut them down and pick a fabric in each of the main colors of the embroideries.  use color compliments,for example,  if you have a yellow flower, put a blue strip around the flower block, the same color blue that's in one of the blue flowers.  then black sashing.

there are so many possibilities.    have fun trying to figure it out.

I like Nana's idea - but also when I heard you mention the DWR - since I am in the midst of making a few of these - I thought how beautiful these would be as the centerpieces of 9 blocks in a DWR.  Using coordinating fabrics for the arcs and cornerstones - Pastels and colors in the embroidery!  They would be beautifully encased.  

Very pretty thank you for sharing them and I look forward into see how you finish them out!
