Antique childs bed and Bear Claw Quilt

I previously posted this Bear Claw quilt in my Gallery hanging on a quilt rack. I found this picture and despite the clutter, decided to post it so you can see what bed it was for. Notice the sock monkey?? I made alot of these over the years! Sorry about the clutter.

Quilts always look nicer on the bed.Don't you think? I remember sock monkey at my Grandma's house. When I went to bed at night, I'd ask Grandma to put him in another room. What clutter? It's just toys. Kids rooms have toys or it wouldn't be lived in. There's more important things in life. Like quilting for one!!!!

Thank you, Linda. In TN I found many people are very superstitious about sock monkey's. I love old handmade toys such as pillow dolls, handkerchief dolls, etc. I wish I could make an apple doll. I suppose I could, but just haven't tried. Hugs,

The quilt is very nice...we all have clutter from time to time ...and when I was a kid ...I thought the sock monkey was cute but I never liked their big red lips...lol..don't know why ...
