I started this quilt for my daughter Emma when I was about 7 months pregnant. I chose the 9 patch because I loved the pattern and I thought it would be an easy pattern. I used the fabric Verna from Kate Spain for moda. I used a Jelly roll and then solid white and a white with a yellow floral print for the blocks and a blue diamond print for the border. I had the quilt longarmed because I didnt want to ruin it - hehe. After I finished the quilt top I put it away because I was not sure what I wanted to do with it. My daughter is now 21 months and I still have to finish the binding. I have been practicing my binding on the many other quilts I have made since. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to hand sew the binding on to the back - wanted to try avoid that but dont think I can. When I started this about 2 years ago I didnt know anything about pressing seams or locking seams - boy I have learned alot from fons & porter and Elenor Burns and all my magazines! Once I started this quilt, I became addicted to quilting and dont think I will ever stop! I found the pattern on modabakeshop.com
