Lynnski, go outside and pick up leaves and trace them on to fabric. That is how I would do it. And, I just might. I would use different shaped leaves.
Just the kind of thing I've been looking for.

To get many leaf patterns to trace just Google "fall leaf template". You will find scores of choices. Right now my front lawn is covered in maple leaves of various sizes like the ones in the garland.
